the sound of the car driving off made me feel diseased

he came, he stayed, he fell.

i suppose you can't think about me driving off to leave barely awake. see, i took a little nap while the road was straight and had a dream..
i can remember you telling me "your sorry eyes, they cut through bone. they make it hard to leave you alone.. leave you wearing your wounds"
just for a momment this was our shelter. what a shitty thing to say.. did you really mean it?
you never said a word to me about what passed between and took it for real.
then you got nervous, started whistling. every thought was a ricochet.. did you notice?
well, i wondered: what's the worst thing you could say? and i froze up and sighed..
you reminded me of someones daughter. i forgot her, i forgot her name ashamed.
just let me tell you something.. i hate to walk behind other people's ambition.
now back to my dream.. i saw myself waiting. saint like. with my warning "leave alone".. i don't belong here anyway.
honestly, it still kills me like it did before, but there's no need to worry. or is there? the chimes fell over each other
and i fell onto my knees.. i picked up to put away anything of yours that's still around... but i didn't know what to do
with your clothes or your letters.. it could make a whisper out of you.
well, i rid you of me for you to do whatever the hell you want to.. i've seen the end of the day come too soon..
i had not a lot to say, not a lot to do. looks like you buried your heart and your mind in the sand at the beach. you played the game
and you owe nothing to yourself.
when i woke up cops were running around the scene looking for some kind of clue. they ever get uptight when a moth gets crushed.
i'm lying down, blowing smoke from my cigarette.. little whisper smoke signs you'll never get.

rest a day, for tomorrow you can't tell.
